Sarah White appointed as Breeder Channel Manager at Agria Pet Insurance
Agria Pet Insurance has appointed Sarah White as Breeder Channel Manager. In this role, Sarah will be working closely with breeders of puppies and kittens to ensure Agria’s products align closely to enhance their activities as responsible breeders.
The Agria Breeder Club (ABC) gives registered breeders access to activate Agria 5 Weeks Free insurance policies for the puppies and kittens they breed and earn rewards for helping animals access the right policy at the right time. Sarah will also be responsible for ensuring the ABC evolves to continue to meet the needs of its growing breeder membership.
Sarah’s vast experience as a dog owner and in the world of showing make her well-matched for this specialist role at Agria. She was brought up with dogs and owned her first dog, a Borzoi, at just age 11, inspired by her mum’s passion for the breed. Since then she has never been without a Borzoi at her side and, both Sarah and her mum are known as highly successful breeders and competitors in the field of showing.
As well as having a keen interest in helping the next generation of handlers by working closely with Juniors, Sarah is the Treasurer for the Chepstow and District Canine Society. She also handles and judges at open shows and local matches, and stewards and exhibits at Championship shows.
Dogs bred by Sarah’s family kennels, Mischran, are in much demand, and as such can be found in carefully chosen homes across the world. For now, Sarah has two Borzois – Di and Libby. Prior to taking the role at Agria, Sarah worked as a Data Manager at a secondary school in her home country of Wales.
“I am really excited to start my role at Agria. Having spent my whole life in the breeder circle, it is fantastic to now have an opportunity to blend my passion for dogs with my career. My focus is to ensure the health and wellbeing of puppies and kittens is at the forefront of the minds of breeders, Agria, and as a result, the wider insurance industry.
“Responsible breeding, and rewarding and acknowledging it, is something that I feel strongly about. It’s wonderful to be joining a business that feels the same, cares so passionately about pets and understands the challenges breeders face, too,” says Sarah.
Janet Hughes, Director of Partner Engagement and Strategy at Agria, says, “Sarah is the perfect fit to work as Breeder Channel Manager, and we are delighted to welcome her into the Agria team. She has a lifetime of experience in the breeder world, and therefore an unrivalled understanding of it, which will help us to gain an even closer alignment with the unique needs of the breeder sector.”
